Welcome to our class page!
We can't wait to share the amazing things we learn and the fun we will have with you!
Class 4 xxx
Take a look at some of the work we've been doing! We've been very busy...English, maths, phonics, science and activities linked to some amazing books!
'Flotsam' 'Here We Are' 'The Magic Pencil'
We had a brilliant time today with Steve during our Partake experience. We got into character and travelled back in time to 1666 and really immersed ourselves in the history of the event.
Here are a few memories!
We explored the properties of 3D shapes today; we used straws and plasticene to build our shapes.
The plasticene represented the vertices and the straws were the edges!
We had a blast completing the Tough Mudder challenge. We didn't get as muddy as we'd hoped but still had a great time!
Class 4's Worship
We really hoped that you enjoyed our class worship! We had so much fun preparing the information, learning our lines and singing and signing the songs!. Here are a few moments....
On Thursday 13th February, we were lucky enough to be visited by the Blidworth Firefighters! We learnt so much about fire safety, the equipment used and got to explore a fire engine. We even had a go at squirting the hose!
We love maths! From solving an all possibilities problems to fractions!
We have really enjoyed learning about Judaism. We learnt about Hannukah, made Mezzuzahs and Tzedakahs.
Class 4 experimented with how far a cardboard mouse can be propelled using empty bottles.
We discussed how it could be done, which method would be the best to project our mouse the furthest and how we could measure the projection.
We realized that it was the air in the empty bottle that was propelling the mouse and that the more force we applied, the further it went.
We measured using metre sticks- some of us measuring vertical height of the projections and some of us measuring the horizontal length.
Here are a few photos from our Christmas pyjama party! We had a lovely, chilled time with our friends.
Our Autumn Walk
We had a fab time in our wellies, exploring the school grounds and searching for signs of Autumn. We were so excited to discover fungi, acorns and the horseshoe shapes on a horse chestnut tree!
Our 'Back in my day' tea party!
Thank you to all that could make it to our tea party. We had a wonderful time, sharing our walk, talking about past and present toys and enjoying a snack and beverage.
