Children

Class 7

Welcome to Class 7

We work together as a team to be the best that we can be!

There are 24 fabulous Year 3 and Year 4 pupils in our class!

Our teachers are Miss Booth (Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and Mrs Brooksby (Thursdays and Fridays).

We are also taught by Mrs Meaney, Mrs Carghill, Mr Yates and Mrs Dean throughout the week.

Some important information for you to remember:

  • Our P.E days are Mondays and Wednesdays.
  • Children should bring a named bottle filled with water bottle to school every day.
  • Please, always make sure that your child is suitably dressed for the weather - we love to learn outside!
  • Please make sure that every item of clothing worn to school is clearly labelled with your child's name - so we can reunite missing items with their owners!
  • Spelling books must be in school on a Friday.
  • Reading records must be in school every day.
  • Please let us know if arrangements for your child being collected from school change, thank you.

Homework:

  • Please try to read at least 3 times a week with your child and record this in their reading diary by initialling all entries. Reading diaries will be checked by Miss Booth or Mrs Brooksby when we have our Guided Reading sessions.
  • Spellings are sent out on a Friday and tested on the following Friday. We have lessons each week that match the spelling rules and letter strings we are learning.  The spellings for each week will be in your child's spelling books.
  • 'Times Tables Rock Stars' (TTRS)has different challenges set each week; we expect your child to practise for at least 15 minutes per week to master this really important skill.
  • Schofield and Sims (arithmetic practise books) and spag.com activities homework are set on alternate Wednesdays
  • All passwords for online homework should be in your child's reading record books.

Please speak to Miss Booth or Mrs Brooksby at the beginning or the end of the school day if you have any questions or important information about your child to pass on.
